Chickens make good for belly laughs!

Have you ever wondered the life cycle of a chicken? You should it's some good food *no pun intended* for thought. It my even provide a few belly laughs! It starts like this,
  • Which came first the chicken or the egg?
  • Then two chickens fall into mmm, let's not say puppy love. I'm sure chickens don't like puppies. It's probably not puppy love for them. It's probably more like cow love. I think they like cows. Cows are probably cute to them like puppies are cute to us. I don't think they have a *beef* with the cows! So, they fall into cow love and....
  • The Rooster and Hen do their thing!
  • How do they do their thing? I've seen dogs and a horse but I ain't never seen no chicken. But they do! I googled it. It's been a topic of discussion for quite some time. See in our house we've been thinking the Hen lays the egg and then the rooster fertilizes it after it's been laid. NOPE! They got some kid of *Chicken dance*!
  • The Hen holds the sperm in a little sac.
  • Then the Hen releases sperm from the sac fertilizing the egg.
  • The Hen lays the fertilized egg.
  • Now, why do the Hens bother with the trouble of laying unfertilized eggs? I'm pretty sure they're not thinking "Hey, those sweet humans, the ones that pull out my feathers and chop off my neck, I should bake them some eggs". But they do. Odd ducks aren't they?
Next we've got chicken pox. This lovely chicken has been bothering Tyler for a good 9 days. Poor kid, incredibly bored, no school, no friends for a week, all while he felt fine just had pox given him a little trouble!
Well I can't help it, once again I must follow my theory of "If there is a chance for fun, take it!"
Tyler was walking down the hall and I yelled, "TYLER STOP!" he stopped, I shook my head a little, "Oh, sorry I thought I saw feathers." He glared at me and kept walking but not before he stole a look over his body to see if there were any feathers.
Later while in my room I was explaining to him that when you have chicken pox often times you can lay eggs. I was telling him what an amazing process the whole thing was. He left the room unsure of the level of craziness I possessed or if I'm not crazy at all and if he could really lay an egg.
He went out and asked his siblings if they'd heard such a thing while I tried to convince Jeremy to go boil some eggs to lay in his bed that night.
I've been anxiously waiting for Tyler's teacher to call me and tell me of Tyler's concerns about growing feathers and laying eggs. My shock and disappointment would be heard, "What they don't?!"

Belly Laughs!

I'm always up for a good belly laugh and for some reason when they involve someone other than myself they are that much funnier!

Belly Laugh #1

The book retreat beach trip should definitely fall under the "Belly Laugh" category. That night will go down in history! Gut wrenching belly laughs continued for some of us from posting incriminating photos on the blogs and then being threatened with war and given a ten minute time limit to remove them, which I did with only seconds to spare but with the desired not so weak revenge affect happily attained!

The best part was when my front door was pounded on and I was sure Aundrea had skipped calling to threaten me and instead came right over to do it with her bare hands. NO kidding, I screeched like a sissy and yelled at Jeremy that I wasn't home all while laughing hysterically.

It was only my kids locked out in the cold and wanting in. But now the phone was ringing and I knew my time was up she was calling! Well ya can't hide forever so I answered, "Hello, you've reached the *%&$#'s, no one is home right now. Please leave a message. BEEEEEEPP". I think my bursts of laughter in between my words may have given way to a fake answering machine. No matter I was toast, she was calling to proclaim war! I screamed "NO NO wait my ten minutes isn't up yet!"

I removed the photos...I loved every minute of my second wave of retaliation since my first one was so "weak"!

Belly Laugh #2

Jeremy has a habit of falling asleep in the car, no not while driving but as a passenger. This is no secret to our friends and has provided plenty of opportunity for pranks that no one seems to be able to pass up. You'd think he'd figure it out and tape his eyes open to keep from having to suffer from this repeated offense, but no.

Instead someone quietly counts to three, I slam on my breaks, every one screams, Jeremy's hands start flailing he starts screaming, words that I can't repeat are pouring from his mouth, he may even flip off the back row of friends all while we laugh hysterically.

Jeremy can't talk for at least 5 minutes while collecting his cool and refraining from hulking out. When he is finally speaking to us he informs us he's crapped his pants. We are still laughing!

Continue: Belly Laugh At Least Once a Day

What's not right about this picture?
I can't help it I'm laughing just thinking about it. Do you see that wet spot on Jeremy's leg? Well it's not from apple bobbing at the church Harvest Party (which by the way was so beautifully decorated and a lot of fun), here's how it goes, Thatcher needed to go poo so Jeremy took him to the bathroom. Thatcher was sitting on the potty and Jeremy was telling him "you can do it just push (grunting noises)". As soon as Thatcher put all he had into his little grunt pee sprayed over the toilet seat and hit Jeremy's leg.
Jeremy is such a good sport and I did ask for permission to blog about his many mishaps that bring me many "Belly Laughs"

BUNCO!
Smiles, Cheers and lots of Belly Laughs!
I started our BUNCO group two years ago and the rest of the girls have kept it going strong. Sixteen of us every month roll the dice, win prizes and enjoy each others company. All of us have our bad days and every now and then it's hard to get me excited about leaving my house but once I'm there I'm so glad. It's been fun and I've made great friends.

Left to right, Top: Paige, Rochelle, Jodi, Stephanie, Marie, Sherry, Lorna, Kathleen
Bottom: Shannon, Kelly, Sheila, Nichole and Aundrea.
BUNCO's two year anniversary and look how we've evolved!
Last year only a hand full dressed up. Last night was so much fun the BUNCO ladies stepped it up this year. Thirteen out of sixteen dressed it up.

Continue: Belly laugh once a day! (again at my husbands expense)

Now you all might just think I am down right diabolical but I am just finding humor in the darnedest things!
Jeremy awoke this morning to pouring rain you know buckets of rain. I love rain the sound, the smell and the look of drops landing on the leaves in the flower garden. I love everything about it. I love watching Jeremy change a flat tire on his truck as the rain rolls off his neck down his forearms and drip off his rugged hands... HA! That's funny! Really I should have made him hot coco and put a towel in the dryer for him so it would have been nice and warm when he came in. But no instead I stood at the window and laughed a good belly laugh!

Belly Laugh at least once a day! (just maybe not at your husband)

Saturday was a great morning we got up early Tresa went to Volleyball, I went into town and Jeremy was home with the boys. Around noon Tyler called my cell phone informing me when I came home not to open the garage door (I automatically think Jeremy has hidden a surprise for me). He continues by saying that they were all in the van and backing out of the garage when dad ran into the garage door. I then hear Jeremy in the background yelling "who are you talking to?" He grabbed the phone to realize he had been snitched on! Jeremy is obviously upset rambling about how bad it is and its going to cost a fortune to fix it. In there somewhere he tells me that he got the van out of the garage and backed out only to run over the boys skateboard and bust it in half. AHH! If he could have only seen me trying to act concerned when I was really laughing hysterically. I was picturing the butt of my van imprinted in the garage door and how much I would enjoy framing the busted skateboard on the wall. I seriously belly laughed for a good twenty minutes all at my husbands expense.

It gets better! That night at dinner Tresa asks "Dad when you got out of the van to check the back and open the garage door shouldn't you have seen the skateboard." AHH! Again I buckled in laughter.

I can only imagine if this had been me I would be grounded from all vehicles, given a bus pass and when allowed in a vehicle again all persons would have to reside in their homes until I was safely in drive.
